Leavening is a working farming village dating back to the 11th Century based at the foot of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. The Parish Council has the responsibility to represent the views of parish residents and plays an advisory role where matters arise in the village - from planning to management of green spaces, the Parish Council meets quarterly to discuss business and ensure residents have a voice at North Yorkshire County Council level.
