Leavening Cemetery is a peaceful, rural plot located just outside the village on Leppington Lane (YO179FQ). Residents and non-residents of Leavening can apply to be buried in the local cemetery.  A place where locals and visitors can reflect and pay respect to their loved ones. We strive to promote natural wildlife and biodiversity

Burial Fees as of Spring 2022 are payable to Leavening Parish Council and are as follows:

Leavening Residents

• Infants and Children up to 12 years - No Fee
• Parish Residents - Adults and young adults (over 12 years of age)- £175
• Non-Residents Adults and young adults (over 12 years of age)- £525
• Cremated remains (half plot) - £100
• The second use of an existing plot - £50
  

Charges for former residents of the parish 
Applications/enquiries will be considered on a case by case basis

• Please note the scattering of ashes is not allowed in the Cemetery.
• In all instances, enquirers are asked to liaise on details of the burial and grave preparation with an appropriate undertaker.
