Leavening Parish Council is required to submit an Annual Governance & Accountability Return (known as AGAR) every year at the end of the financial year. Whilst Leavening Parish Council has low levels of transactions throughout the year, we are committed to transparent reporting and each year will give members of the Parish an opportunity to review accounts online around submission time through the notice of exercise of public rights.
Guidance for electors (residents) and other interested parties entitled ‘Local authority accounts: a guide to your rights’ explains provisions 25, 26 and 27 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and is available on the PKF auditor website..
The AGAR reports for each financial year (ending 31st March) show the Annual Internal Audit Report, the Annual Governance Statement (AGAR Section 1), and Accounting Statements (AGAR Section 2)
You can, as a resident of the parish, contact the Parish Council if you have any further questions about the review or the reported accounts.
