 The Leavening Allotment and Garden Project was born at the Annual Village Meeting in May 2023. With the unanimous support of the Village and the Parish Council, a valiant crew of village residents got together to explore the possibility to obtain a plot of land to establish allotments and a community garden, That germ of an idea has now grown into twelve glorious allotment plots - much admired for the industry and horticultural brilliance of their tenants.

Speaking of horticultural brilliance - with the work of the unstoppable volunteers, the Community Gardens, Orchard, Shelter and Greenhouse have all appeared in the space of a seemingly miraculous year. There are very few villagers who have not trodden the path to a welcome at the site, which offers unprecedented and incomparable views over our lovely valley.
